Budapest holds a special place in my heart because I went there for the first time in 2022, where I had an amazing time and also became friendly with the owner of one of the best hostels in Europe, a place called Carpe Noctem.
Gemma (the owner) is a forty year old Scotswoman who both drinks and swears like a sailor, but she has a big heart and cares a lot about her guests. Honestly, if I ever go back to Budapest, it’ll mostly be to stay at that hostel again.
